Becoming a member

Plantum is the branch association for all companies in the plant reproduction material sector. Ten good reasons to become a member are listed below.

 

  1. A powerful, collective representation of interests, supported by an extensive national and international network. 
  2. Up to date information about developments in the sector and activities developed by Plantum. 
  3. Exchange of specific, professional knowledge in the crop groups and committees of Plantum and setting up joint actions.
  4. Networking opportunities and the chance to learn more during themed meetings, excursions and the Annual General Members Meeting. 
  5. Answers to the most widely ranging questions about, for example, Plant Breeders' Rights, crop protection, subsidies and the practical implementation of CLAs. 
  6. Use of the General Terms and Conditions of Delivery of Plantum, advice concerning cultivating seeds, a research contract model and a non-GMO declaration. 
  7. Support in jointly starting up (precompetitive) research or promotional activities. 
  8. A 50% discount on Value for Cultivation and Use testing (VCU) of agricultural crops. 
  9. Possible discounts on telephone expenses, fuel and trade journals. Discount on participation at the international Horti Fair and on services of Hezelburcht, an advisory agency for subsidy related issues. 
  10. Promotion of the company via the international Business-2-Business website of Plantum. 

 

Application
Natural and legal persons conducting business activities in

  • breeding agricultural and horticultural crops and/or; 
  • the cultivation of plant reproduction material, propagation and growing, and/or; 
  • trade in plant reproduction material,

can become a member of Plantum. Please return the completed application form (doc, 582KB) addressed to the Director, to Plantum, Postbus 462, 2800 AL, Gouda. The application will be handled by the Board within three months. The contribution fee is determined based on the turnover in plant reproduction material.
